Well, we had the source code and assets, so we decided to spend a week creating a Jaguar tribute! Click here for more info and downloads! Enjoy!

We're pleased to announce that the preview of Project One (The Level One demo) is available for download here.
This has taken us three months to produce - there will be no more. The project is CANCELLED. The FUD campaign produced by Jaguar Sector II members against anything new or innovative for the Jaguar system has won out yet again, and none of us can be bothered any more. Please, continue to enjoy playing 8bit ports of other people's IP property whilst berating developers who are actually doing something new. The Jaguar community deserves the stagnation that it supports. We will NOT tolerate being blamed and harrased for the dumping and distribultion of currently supported commercial titles. This is clearly being done by the same Russian website owner who has been doing the same thing for ages and has NOTHING to do with us.
This game is proof of what what can be done by three people in a short period of time if they actually do things rather than just talk about them.
The source code will probably be released in the future, if any of us can work up any enthusiasm to do so.
Flash the game to a skunkboard with: JCP -F PROJECT1.ROM, or load the game in Project Tempest 0.95 (Slightly buggy, but does run) - it will not run in VirtualJaguar.
Project One is a free game, and is not to be sold, re-sold or distributed in any way without the express written permission of Reboot.

Jagware and Reboot are very pleased to announce a merger, with the aim of improving the knowledge and skillset of both teams. Together, we hope to deliver premium quality games for your Jaguar at a pricepoint unmatched by anyone (free). Watch this space for further developments.
Since the original video did absolutely no justice to the game, we decided to release a higher quality video (about 30mb, encoded with x264) right here.
Hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it!

Reboot are very proud to finally be able to give you all a taster of what we have in store for you with ProjectOne.
Work started on this about 4 weeks ago, so the code is still quite young and will probably get tweaked quite a bit before we release the final version, although it has progressed far enough for it to be playable.
The game currently features:
2-Layer 256 colour parallax 8-directional scrolling
448 by 10560 sized maps (screen window is 320x256)
4 independant, fully sequenced, independantly animated concurrent waves of enemies (8 per wave)
Air and Ground targets
128 on screen, completely independant tracking bullets.
Full collision detection between all moving objects
Multiple weapon power levels and bonus pickups
Multi channel digital audio sound effects (Not recorded in video due to VirtualJaguar's inability to run at the correct speed on my PC with DSP enabled)
All original artwork and level design
NTSC/PAL Autodetection
95\% of game logic running on the GPU giving a full 50/60 FPS of destructive action.
We hope to have Level 1 completed quite shortly. The final game will feature all of the above, plus boss fights, a title sequence, a highscore screen, and 4 levels of complete chaos. We hope it will all fit inside a 2mb ROM.
As with all reboot productions, the final version will be released for free, followed shortly afterwards by all source code, complete with all audio/visual assets for you all to look at or re-use to make your own levels.
